🌞 Family Swim Day – Summer 2026 🌊

We’re thrilled to bring back Family Swim Day this summer! Join us for an afternoon of fun in the sun on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 2:45 to 4:30 PM at Highwood Outdoor Pool (25 Holmwood Ave NW, Calgary, AB).

This event is open to members of all ages and their families. Whether you’re splashing with little ones, enjoying the spray features, or taking a dip in the pool, there’s something for everyone!

🏊‍♀️ Pool Features:

  • Heated 25-metre outdoor pool with lap lanes and varying depths
  • Zero-entry spray deck with water features
  • Separate shallow tot/child pool area perfect for younger swimmers

🛠️ Facility Amenities:

  • Heated, filtered, and sanitized pool water
  • Change rooms and temperature-controlled showers
  • Coin-operated lockers (bring a quarter or your own lock)
  • Concession with snacks, drinks, and treats available for purchase
  • Picnic tables and a sheltered picnic area
  • Fully supervised by qualified lifeguards

🔔 Important Notes:

  • Everyone must be registered, including infants and children under 2. While children under 2 attend free, we need an accurate count of all attendees for the pool booking.
  • Support Persons: If you’re bringing a support person, aide, or worker, please let us know during registration. They attend for free, but again, we need an accurate count of all attendees for the pool booking.
  • Spots are limited and this event may fill quickly. If you register and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can offer your spot to another family.
  • What to Bring: Swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, water bottles, and a quarter or lock for lockers.
  • Accessibility: The facility includes an accessibility ramp, accessible washrooms, and change room facilities for individuals with limited mobility.
  • Weather: This is an outdoor event and will proceed rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe. We’ll notify participants of any changes.
