Gluten-Free Gourmet: 4-Week Teens Cooking Series

Description:
Join our 4-week gluten-free cooking series at the YW, every Wednesday (November 5, 12, 19, 26), tailored for teens with Down Syndrome to develop kitchen skills, boost independence, and connect with peers. Each class features gluten-free dishes prepared with simple, step-by-step instructions. Learn measuring, mixing, chopping (with safe tools), and safe cooking techniques in a supportive, fun setting. All ingredients are gluten-free and provided.
Schedule:

  • Nov 5: Chia Pudding Cups & Fruit Salad – Create creamy chia pudding and a fresh fruit salad.
  • Nov 12: Crispy Potato Skins & Tuna Salad – Bake crispy potato skins and mix a tasty tuna salad.
  • Nov 19: Omelettes – Whip up fluffy gluten-free omelettes with favorite fillings.
  • Nov 26: Gluten-Free Blueberry/Saskatoon Muffins – Bake sweet, gluten-free muffins bursting with berries.
