Description:
Join our 4-week gluten-free cooking series at the YW, every Thursday (November 6, 13, 20, 27), tailored for adults with Down Syndrome to develop kitchen skills, boost independence, and connect with peers. Each class features gluten-free dishes prepared with simple, step-by-step instructions. Learn measuring, mixing, chopping (with safe tools), and safe cooking techniques in a supportive, fun setting. All ingredients are gluten-free and provided.
Schedule:
- Nov 6: Chia Pudding Cups & Fruit Salad – Create creamy chia pudding and a fresh fruit salad.
- Nov 13: Crispy Potato Skins & Tuna Salad – Bake crispy potato skins and mix a tasty tuna salad.
- Nov 20: Omelettes – Whip up fluffy gluten-free omelettes with favorite fillings.
- Nov 27: Gluten-Free Blueberry/Saskatoon Muffins – Bake sweet, gluten-free muffins bursting with berries.
