We caught up with Ups and Downs member Paul Sawka to get his take on what it means to participate. “I am looking forward to attending the Special Olympic Alberta Winter Games” said Paul, “I participate in curling but there are 7 other winter sports that are represented and Calgary is sending a team of approximately 249 members”.
“These are the fifth Winter Games that I have attended and the Opening ceremonies are always exciting because the teams from all over the province parade in wearing their team uniforms”. “I love curling and also enjoy the dance on Saturday night”. “I am looking forward to meeting lots of new curlers, competing and having fun. I will do my best!
