Get ready for the one and only Teen and Young Adult Conference.
This day has been created for you and you will be able to pick the activities you would like to attend. Join us on September 14th at 8:30 am at YW Community Hub.
Cost: $15/person (includes materials for the activities you select plus lunch and drinks).
Agenda (information about the classes can be found here: TYAC 2024 Program information-2! If you have questions, let us know!) All rooms will be limited to a max of 12-15 participants and they will last between 45-50 min long.
- Registration 8:30 am
- Workshop #1 at 9:00 am
- Workshop #2 at 10:00 am
- Workshop #3 at 11:00 am
- Lunch hour from 12-1 pm
- Workshop #4 at 1:00 pm
Workshops available:
- Kitchen room: Cooking classes – 4 sessions will be offered. Each member will be able to at least participate in one session.
- Green room: Dance, Yoga or Karate lessons. Remember to wear comfortable clothes and shoes!
- Orange room: Employment session, Boundaries and Social Medial Talk, Independent Living Panel.
- Pink room: Bracelets making, Science, Art or Planting workshops, Basic First aid certificate.
This year we will be offering one FREE session to parents that would like to join us from 1 to 2 pm. The topic is: Talking to Your Child About Puberty: Body, Feelings and Relationships. SPACES ARE LIMITED AND YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND.
Once you completed your purchase, please look on your ticket for the link to the registration form. Make sure you fill it up so we can add you to your preferred activities. Spaces for all classes are limited and spaces will be given in a first come – first serve basis. Those participants that don’t complete the form, will be assigned to the spaces that are available and everyone will have a space in one activity each hour. Participants registered before August 20th will receive the link on a separate email.
Registration closes on September 9th at 11:59 pm. In order to have enough resources for the event and due to limited availability, participants that show up without registration won’t be able to attend the event.
