Take your culinary skills to the next level with this immersive cooking series designed for adults and teens who already feel confident in the kitchen. Whether you want to expand your technical skills, explore new flavours, or create dishes you’ll be proud to recreate at home, this class offers practical learning in a supportive, hands‑on environment.
All classes are led by Sydney Weipert, Jamie Gervais and Sara Waqas. Sydney has a culinary arts diploma from SAIT with over a decade experience working with Downs youth. Jamie has a B.Sc. in Nutrition and Food Science, M.A in Transdisciplinary research, 15 years as a social entrepreneur educating over 89,000 children about food literacy and critical media literacy, three years as a culinary instructor and 15 years experience in education and curriculum design. Sara has two years experience working with youth with Down syndrome, and as a culinary assistant. Sara also has extensive training as a researcher at the University of Calgary Neuroscience lab, known for her innovation in treating cognitive disorders.
