At Home Activities!

Hey Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy!

In case you’re looking for some fun and interactive ways to stay busy at home, I thought I would share a few links with some ideas for how to make the most of this unique time!

We’ve provided some great links below that we think you will enjoy! These links will focus on home activities for both you and your family, and some mindful practices to stay positive.

1. Practice Gratitude.

With all that is going on, our minds can so easily start racing with all sorts of questions. Something I’ve found to be extremely helpful is to be mindful to practice gratitude for each day. This might look different for each one of us, but here is a template that you can print out and fill in each day. (If you don’t have a printer, feel free to use the example here and simply write the date on a blank piece of paper and make a list.)

2. #GadBookClub

Actor Josh Gad (aka Olaf from Frozen) has been reading children’s stories every night via twitter. This is a fun way to switch things up and listen to some stories with your child(ren) you may have never heard before!

3. Learning About Germs – Activity

Here’s a quick little YouTube video that teaches us about germs and the importance of soap. It’s a great, hands-on activity that you can put together with items you already have in your house! This activity is a great visual for us to see how germs don’t like soap!

5. Keeping Up with Ups and Downs!

Ups and Downs will be launching our Keeping Up with Ups and Downs online social events starting next week! We are very excited about this! It’s extremely important for us to all stay connected during this time, so stay tuned for more info on our Keeping Up events!

Thanks so much for being a part of what we do here at Ups and Downs! If you have any feedback or suggestions for activities to share with other families, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! We always enjoy hearing from our community!

Thanks again,
